General Rules:
1. Please read everything on the 'Countdown' section (Rules, Main Plot, and Character Application form) contrary to popular belief it is important!
2. Before making a character application create an account. You may only have ONE account and as of right now only TWO characters (unless you have enough PP to purchase another character slot).
3. Please submit a character form within 7 days of creating your account, if you have not done so your account will be removed from this forum.
4. Please use the application template for making character submissions (you may make edits to it but nothing too crazy please, it's supposed to read like a dog registration for for a race).
5. This is a literate role-play, there is a word count minimum in place and you are expected to meet it. Proper grammar and spelling is desired though obviously no one is perfect.
6. At this point in time this site is rated 'PG-13', mostly for language and gore. But, let's be mindful of others and post 'M' warnings for those with more sensitive souls.
7. Harassment of other players through posts or PM is unacceptable, players found breaking this rule will be dealt with accordingly.
In Character Rules:
1. No god moding, power playing, or rude/nasty comments (we're all friends here).
2. I am 100% open for internal plot ideas and/or overall improvements so do not hesitate to approach me. That being said there is a general 'schedule' going and I have plenty of wrenches to throw.
3. Mary Sues and Gary Stus, while comical, are not appropriate for this particular role play, your character must have flaws.
4. There are ten dogs for each team, 2 dogs in each position. Most teams will have two lead dogs though one lead teams are permitted.
5. You may play a 'replacement dog' who is stationed at a checkpoint to replace injured/ill dogs or 'trackers' who are hopefuls that follow the team along their race.
6. Keep wolf hybrids to a minimum (max I will allow is two), and the dog cannot be more than 25% wolf
7. Tortured souls are not as interesting as you might think, the whole 'tragic backstory' is overused and frankly quite boring. While characters do face hardships most don't have truckloads of strife in their lives.
8. Killing another person's character without their permission is an assbutt move. Don't do it.
9. This is a fairly realistic role-play, meaning your character cannot have powers (i.e. The ability to see into the future), crazy coat colors (i.e. pink fur with yellow highlights), or anything along that line.
10. Please be active. If you are going to be gone for an extended amount of time please inform me or a mod, we would be more than happy to stick your character with an injury until you return.
11. If you do not post a (complete) character form within 7 days of your account sign up your account will be deleted (to avoid this issue only sign up after you have filled out the character application form in a word document). I'll email a gentle reminder about 5-6 days if you've been M.I.A and after that it will be deleted.
12. Since we have some issues with people being active from now on you must post (a role-play response) at least once a week. If you fail to do so you will be moved to the 'Hibernators' group. If after another 72 hours you fail to post (without giving a valid reason) your account will be deleted.
Now that all the serious stuff is all sorted out let's move onto MPD and Injuries!
